Responsibilities
This opportunity is with Syneos Health Consulting, an industry-leading consulting firm specializing in the biopharmaceutical industry providing services across a comprehensive range of key Practice Areas including commercial strategy and planning, medical affairs, risk and program management and pricing and market access. You'll join a team with industry focus, depth of functional expertise, and strong scientific and market knowledge that is uniquely positioned to tackle highly complex business and market challenges to develop achievable strategies for our clients.

The role of Senior Engagement Manager is within the Medical Affairs Practice Area.

Responsibilities
  • Manages/Leads a book of business in the Medical Affairs Practice Area, proactively working to grow the book of business by:
    • Building strong relationships with MDs
    • Supporting the BD process
    • Building relationships with clients across the Life Sciences sector
  • Acts as a Project Manager with responsibility for overall project hygiene and execution:
    • Works with the team to create high-quality deliverables from start to finish and advises the team on production and delivery best practices through hands-on guidance
  • Delivers superior client experience:
    • Leads professional, positive, and mature interactions with clients
    • Ensures client satisfaction through project delivery & experience with other team members
  • Works with the team to create high-quality deliverables from start to finish and advises the team on production and delivery best practices through hands-on guidance
  • Provides strategic influence on project teams, with clients, and to Practice Area leadership
  • Develops and maintains excellent peer-level client relationships
  • Participates in the BD process through writing and pricing full proposals and actively participating in the pitch and negotiation process
  • Takes responsibility for career advising to consulting staff team members as a Development Coach


Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has the mandatory experience required in the role:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within the Life Sciences R&D and/or Medical Affairs field
  • Minimum of 5 years' broad experience in a consultancy environment
  • Solid understanding of clinical development processes and up-to-date knowledge of European clinical trial regulations
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external client relationships within Medical Affairs or Regulatory networks
  • Strong experience with creating high-quality client deliverables, ideally in either R&D and/or Medical Affairs
  • Skilled in managing and developing staff, along with projects and project teams.
