The Video Editor will work within the Omnichannel delivery team to create all levels of video productions, focusing primarily on live action projects using the Adobe Creative Suite.

The Video Editor will work under the direction of the Senior Video Editor and creative direction provided by the ‘Creative Expression’ team, whilst using his/her own judgement to challenge and enhance the production to meet deadlines and remain within budget.

Projects will be output on a variety of digital platforms, primarily web-based desktop and mobile, exhibit panels, and many more, comprising a wide variety of health-related subject matters for our clients.

The Video Editor will be expected to use whatever method (software) is required to achieve the most impactful end product, typically using titles from our Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, but that is not a limiting element. Ability to work on a variety of industry standard platforms should therefore not be a limitation.

The Video Editor will occasionally be called upon to direct talking head interview projects in the office, being responsible for the creative and technical delivery of the shoot. They would often be the only member of the company in attendance and so must conduct themselves professionally at all times.

The Video Editor will develop their role through on-the job training to enhance their own technical and creative skills.

The Video Editor is an important role within the team, working closely with the Creative Expression Art Department to deliver the most impactful video productions for our clients (internal and external). All members of the Omnichannel delivery team are expected to manage their own workload, liaising closely with the Project Management function to ensure they have the right information to carry out the tasks assigned.


  • Work closely with the Creative Expression Art Department to understand the project scope and objectives
  • Understand the brief so that we stay within scope at all times, flagging to the Senior Video Editor and/or the Account Management Team if there is a danger of working out of scope BEFORE it happens
  • Deliver video productions on brief, on time and on budget for productions such as:
    • patient videos
    • talking head interviews
    • eLearning animations
    • website animations
    • device demos
    • congress stings
    • and others
  • Work with internal and external teams to resolve technical and/or design issues
  • Provide feedback to the Creative Expression Art Department on storyboards so they can be delivered within scope
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with Account and Creative teams to share new design perspectives, technical advances and ideas
  • Build strong and influential relationships with the Creative and Account teams so there is a high level of trust and respect both ways
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest video production techniques
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines and design standards
  • Maintain the company’s video production equipment – ensuring it is always ready to be used at a moment’s notice (batteries charged etc.) and that everything is stored safely and is in good working order
  • Prepare/compress footage for the account teams and clients online review
  • Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of video files and the project archive

Job Requirements


  • A digital native with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a passion to make a difference
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Graduate-level training in video production, or minimum 5 years industry experience in a  video editor role
  • Confidence to discuss problems/solutions with senior team members
  • Problem solving ability, with a cool head to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think creatively and deliver engaging concepts
  • The foresight to put themselves in the shoes of the client/recipient
  • Meticulous attention to detail creatively and technically
  • As well as demonstrating a passion for the health sector, able to demonstrate the following:

    • Attends meetings and briefings with clients and teammates in the office, offsite meetings or virtually
    • The role is office-based but home-working may be necessary
    • Occasionally there may be the need to work outside the regular contracted working day

Extensive knowledge of these software packages is essential:

  • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Premier
    • AfterEffects
    • Illustrator
    • Photoshop
    • Microsoft Office

Preferred knowledge

  • Healthcare industry experience (not essential)
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
  • Knowledge or 3D animation package
