Taylor Strategy Partners has been retained to search for a Head of Commercial Europe for a growing and dynamic specialty pharmaceutical company, focused on developing and commercialising Diabetes products and other niche products across Europe.  As the commercial leader and working directly with the Board, you will be the key architect responsible for building the company‚Äôs commercial footprint and delivering on its objectives. You will own full life cycle marketing strategies, pre-launch development and driving early launch plans, as well as product commercialisation and developing new markets and territories.


The Head of Commercial - Europe will be responsible for the successful launch of the product in European Countries including:

  • Direct product sales or long-term agreements with one or more strategic partners
  • Building strong relationships with payors and Diabetologists along with the country specific Diabetes Associations across Europe
  • Regional Market Access across EU5
  • Building and delivering effective marketing plans for the brand / product in Europe

Job Requirements

  • Senior commercial leadership experience in launching new products in Europe, including building market access, assembling effective marketing organisations, creating and managing sales teams (including sizing and structure analysis) and implementing necessary, cost-effective infrastructure in Europe and, specifically, for blockbuster-level products
  • Deep understanding of Diabetes and market access rules including dynamics across multiple European countries for primary care products for chronic medical conditions
  • Extensive direct experience of interacting with relevant public bodies/payors/other relevant agencies in such countries
  • Track record of designing and implementing successful pricing and reimbursement strategies across multiple European geographies, including health economics initiatives
  • Experience with different European commercialization strategies & models
  • Country stakeholder engagement by connecting and building partnerships with KOLs and facilitating regional projects and initiatives (acknowledging that this work is coordinated within the European Medical Affairs team)
  • Profit/loss management experience is important as is a passion for improving patient care
  • Demonstrate experience and appreciation of working in an entrepreneurial and start up environment
